comedyhype.com/ - Finesse Mitchell would hit new heights of fame when he would joined the cast of SNL in 2003. Unfortunately his run on the hit sketch comedy show wouldn't remain long, here's why. Instagram: @ComedyHype & Twitter: @ComedyHype_
1:03 it's the rock. Let's me know nobody is famous on accident
Ohhh Finesse
I've watched SNL all my life and I've seen all but one episode, SNL really is not for Black comedians. In 2021 they still got the same raggedy ass racist ass sketches that they had on the air with Garrett. Almost every Black comedian has said the same thing about the show and, notice that the ones who make it "big" leave the show as soon as they can. A whole mess.
Saturday Night Live has always had a challenge to be funny as the original 1980s cast. The past 20 years shows this clearly. Any spin off comedian is not funny either.
The narrator looks like he wants to fight lol
That Miami team had so many amazing personalities
Why the presenter look so mean though?
SNL only gives Black actors the stereotypical roles, where the whole thing is based on them being a Black person. White actors get to portray diverse individuals.
I'm glad he left snl it hasn't been funny in YEARS! Kenan stayed because he isn't funny and he doesn't do much on the show. I hope his tv show works because i love don Johnson and the black woman they are excellence actors. GOOD LUCK!
SNL can never have more than two black men in the main cast (sometimes a featured/writer is allowed as well). As soon as there would be three, one leaves - usually followed by the other in 1-2 seasons. This has happened for a long time, but notice how it’s always Kenan and then 1-2 that don’t last. Black women of course were way more obscure until VERY recently so I’m wondering if they’re going to contribute to the black limit too now.
I’m going to say this our culture never try hard we learn it and does it in all levels than hate begins - peace to all culture shows - Sanford & son - In living color - Martin - Jamie fox show - Wayne’s brothers - Steve Harvey show - Roc - amen - parenthood - Jefferson’s - never did liked sin-field 🗑 - all about Raymond - friends - charms - one tree hill - 7th heaven the one Caucasians show that tops all the Caucasians shows is Charlie sheen 2 1/2 men was funny and I rather watch Benny hill.
I never heard of this dude.
It’s fucked up how SNL be looking for the new black guy, showing the position is a token role and no matter how many funny black comedians there are there’s only a few opportunities available. While the rest of the slots are held for mediocre white male and female comedians. But white privilege doesn’t exist 🙄
I didn't realize Tiffany and Breesha auditioned but didn't make it. While I think it could be a good place to launch a career, it's not a place I would want to stay. According to online reports, the cast members don't make that much. I think that's why they leave after reaching a certain level of popularity. Leslie Jones is a good example.
Finesse funny as hell....
SNL only be funny when Dave Chappelle or Eddie Murphy on it
He's so much funnier then kennan Thompson lame ass they don't even know
I don’t ever remember seeing him
The U
Cool dude from Doug High here in da ATL. Da family is proud of him.
Its sad isn't it? They were looking for a new black guy. Like there can be only one. Yet they kept Jimmy Fallons untalented laughing ass for years until he left for a talk show he doesn't deserve 😒
Narrator: Here’s what happen to finesse Mitchell Narrator: Finesse Mitchell was born.... Me: Im out
"Tracy Morgan is leaving SNL. They are looking for a new black guy." Let's sit on that for a moment. Do they say that with the white cast members? And let's not quickly forget how they just threw in Sasheer and then crushed her spirit.
@William Mitchell White cast members are the default on SNL. Yeah, it really is bias. Ive been reading on all the POC cast who leave SNL. All of them mention how they didn't get as much endorsements, movie deals, and etc like some of the white cast members do and they also have to abide by their SNL contract so they can't just jump into projects they want to try. I love Leslie Jones for calling it out after she left. She had to fight to get screen time so more people would want to put her in like the Ghostbusters movie and also make friendships outside of SNL so SNL producers would agree to featuring her more. I wish there'd be one episode where it was only POC. Yes, that would be bias too but I want to see the dynamics change and see the brilliant performances of former and current POC cast members. Kel surprising Kenan. Tim Meadows reprising characters.
Actually they probably do say that about white cast members. The want to keep a white majority cast. Otherwise they would have a more diverse group of comedians on the show. Real comedy is about taking something tragic, and making it tolerable enough to relieve the stress of the experience. The people that suffer the most under white supremacy (First Nation, Blacks, Latinos, Asians, etc) are overwhelmingly under represented on SNL. These are also the groups that are best at comedy. You damn right they think about replacing white cast members with white cast members.
Guess he didn't have a big part in Mad Money. I just watched the trailer and didn't see his face in it at all. I never thought Finesse was SNL funny. I thgt he was only there for one season.
I remember Finesse, he was legit af. I'm glad he moved on to be successful.
I need to learn to move around like that when ever I’m talkin to folks... lol
Mediocre
Bruh the narrator got me in stitches 🤣🤣🤣
I never liked Saturday night live it wasn’t what Melanated kids related to or shall I say majority of us. I’m not going to lie wild n out was waaay better than SNL.
SNL is not great. They really dont appeal to black ppl like that. Their black skits be ehhhh. Living Color better
Honestly he never stood in it on SNL.
The inauguration video he did on his ig was funny af, I had def forgot about him for a while
Yes it is, I still watching it!!
These comments about the narrator got me weak 😭😭
“New black guy” that’s sad
I never watched SNL always seemed corny to me but I love comedy
I remember him on Comicview. Funny AF!
So the whole time yall mean to tell me rich boy plies & Kirk franklin did the fusion dance and started comedy hype 🤣 @djant863 #crunkestdjndasouth WWW.DJANTTV.COM
ahh i like the creepy music and voiceover ones better lol
SNL doesn’t care about black players. They just don’t. Unless you kill it early on and have heat chemistry with the writers and play ball doing bafoonery stereotypes, it’s very difficult for black male players especially to last on the show. Many Hollywood A-listers auditioned and never made it to SNL. It ain’t the end all, be all.
My brother, you're not ready to be in front of the camera yet. Just some criticism.... love your outlet
WHAT A WAY TO GET IT
SNL ain’t all that 😏. Hit them cubs Baby! Let us give you this money 💰😂❤️💯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I'm convinced that Lorne Michaels doesn't want black comedians to succeed on SNL. Eddie Murphy rose to prominence while Lorne Michaels was on hiatus for 4 years. There has never been a break out black star on SNL on Michaels watch, and that no coincidence.
@Dream Chaser57 Keenan Thompson has been a untalented token black for the past 20+ yrs, who Lorn Michaels uses for cover. He like Tim Meadows in the 90's, and Garrett Morris in the 70's. Lorn is one of those covert or subtle racist elites.
I didn't know that. What about Keenan?
He wasn’t going to degrade himself.
I've grown up watching SNL. Things went into the toilet in 2010 maybe. Around the time Hader, wiig and Sandberg.
K-Rob, I'm feeling steez bruv. I look forward for more of your insightful commentary. Aiight, Eezy 🤜🏾🤛🏾💯
"I stole it." - Comic View
Because he sucked..
He's just not funny to me
Yall know the names.. Me:.........who?😕😕
I remember Finesse joke about sugar daddy picking up women in Vegas. That is some of the funniest content I've ever heard.
the format of seeing the narrator is whack. I stopped watching after 46 seconds
Does anybody else think this guy sounds like Randy Watson who sang sexual chocolate from coming to America? LOL anyway SNL hasn’t been funny in over a decade anyway or maybe longer except for Kenan Thompson
👌🏾
Snl should have chosen deray Davis over finesse. Deray is underrated
Good interview and I'm a big fan of his to be honest I was wondering what happened to him I live in New York City and if you must know my opinion Saturday Night Live is not what it used to be there was a time I was glued to the television but all that wack corny stuff they got up there now I'll find something on cable better yet watch a rerun of one of your videos all the best too this athlete / actor / comedian no disrespect New York City 🖤❤💙💛💜💚
He was funny AF on SNL. Sorry he left. He and Keenan were hilarious together.
Forgot he was on there
SNL has yet to recognize Eddie Murphy as their funniest cast member ever. They still give that honor to John Belushi. I love John, but Eddie is funnier. The combination of Eddie and the writers on the show at the time equaled comedy magic.
SNL has yet to have an Asian or Latinx cast member. 👎🏾
After Eddie Murphy, SNL doesn’t want any Black people, male or female, to outshine the white cast members and it’s obvious. After Eddie, all the Blacks on SNL have been mere tokens.
I subscribed because you/comedy hype aren’t messy like VLAD 🙄.. thanks for the positive messages
That brotha is really, really funny. Alright Nupe!!!
SNL = Sad Nwords laughing
I respect Finesse but don't bring up Tiffany Haddish really🙄🙄🙄
I forgot all about him
SNL is so whitewashed.. you were limited on how funny you can Be. I wish In Living Color was still on syndication
Finesse Heratio Tina & Jimmy were the only funny writers/comedians on SNL back in my day like the old folks say now I only watch SNL if there's a music guest I want to see perform just my opinion 🤷♀️
Snl is not that funny. How the hell is that trash still on the air?
Calboy?
"Looking for a new Black Guy?" That speaks volumes. Even for 2003.
He’s hilarious, they should’ve kept him
Wow I've seen you before. I really like your content. I subscribed.
It’s a IG comedian who look just like Finesse
His name Tcillkillya
I believe Finesse could do hid own talks how and succeed because he has life experiences of ups and downs plus the brother has talent. Pigeoned Hole comedy is not him
He’s a great narrator. A little less arms though would be good IMHO.
Finesse is in my favorite SNL skits. The first black man asked to ski. The first black asked to try direct deposit and Sky diving lol
They kept Keenan. And let go of hi? Woow
ANT FARM was funny af
My Twin!! He was funny af!!
SNL isn’t for everyone. Shoot even Robert Downey Jr got fired from SNL after one season & look at him now. Improve isn’t always every comedians fortay.
Crazy I Like him better outside of snl I felt like he was avg on there he funny asf tho
I'm sorry but any bm part of a fraternity is definitely fruity.
For the longest time "SNL" was seen as The Pinacle of anyone who Wanted a career in comedy, especially if you were a Writer. SNL was the WWE or NBA of Sketch comedy. If you were a young comedian. But SNL wasn't and isn't for everybody . It. Used to be THE Vehicle. But we live in an age where Tik Tok dancers and UZworld Celebs can get talk shows on NBC and you don't really have to go outdated shows like SNL
The rest of his resume is trash. Except ant farm. Lol
I remember Finesse
Only black media got black people saying certain shit is overrated lmao Foh ! SNL comedy af! 🤷🏾♂️🤣🤣. But fuck y’all opinions , they winning
Derek Fisher was on SNL?😥
favorite Cast member. Aside from Chris Parnel, who Does “Jerry’s” voice on Rick & Morty .
I don’t think he was memorable cast member
Snl ain't funny hasn't bin for the last 20 years...remember when the faces kept changing to keep it fresh...smh
"took his talents to south beach"... Damn y'all doing Cavs fans dirty..... I love it.
One black guy. Wowwwww! Long live In living Color!

Do ur thing bro but stop flailing ur arms lol
I miss that show Love That Girl
I loveeee Bresha Webb
His name was literally finesse lol i know he loved when that song came out with bruno
He had me crying in “Who’s Your Caddy”
The potato salad was a forgery lol
@Joe Parmesan 😂😭
Lmao me too. I love at the end of Garrett Morris' speech during the induction ceremony, he just says "who the hell was that?", after getting hyped up throughout the speech
Is this dude on cocaine?
